Leo Kapural, M.D., Ph.D. is a Pain Physician at the Carolinas Pain Institute and Queen City Clinical Research. He is also Professor of Anesthesiology and member of clinical faculty of Florida Atlantic University, Charles E Smith College of Medicine. Dr Kapural served as a Professor of Anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western university and Wake Forest University, School of Medicine. Dr. Kapural is an active member of number of professional organizations and invited speaker to many national and international meetings. He served as Director-At-Large of American Academy of Pain Medicine, International Neuromodulation Society and North American Neuromodulation Society and currently as Director-At-Large of American Society of Pain and Neuroscience.

Dr. Kapural’s experience is broad and encompasses teaching and clinical education, extensive research, and innovations in the area of pain treatments which brought him two Innovator Awards. His noteworthy research findings have been published in more than 250 journal articles, more than 350 abstracts, three books and 50 book chapters.
