Dr. Christopher A. Gilmore is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist and the President and Managing Partner of Carolinas Pain Institute in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He has been a leader in comprehensive pain management for nearly two decades, focusing on innovative, evidence-based approaches to treating chronic pain and improving patients’ quality of life.

A magna cum laude graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, Dr. Gilmore completed his medical degree at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and trained in anesthesiology at the University of Tennessee Medical Center before completing a fellowship in Pain Medicine at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He is board certified in both anesthesiology and pain medicine.

An internationally recognized clinician-researcher, Dr. Gilmore has contributed to numerous clinical trials and authored several peer-reviewed publications advancing neuromodulation and other modern treatments for chronic pain. In addition to caring for patients, he collaborates with academic and industry partners to develop new therapies that expand options for people living with persistent pain.

Through his clinical work, research, and community engagement, Dr. Gilmore is committed to improving awareness of effective pain management strategies and helping patients regain function, independence, and quality of life.
