Ashley Simon, PA-C

Ashley Simon, PA-C practices under the supervision of Chris Gilmore, MD. She received her B.S. degree in biology and minor in chemistry from Alderson Broaddus University in 2013. While there, she was honored with numerous awards including the Senior Academic Award for graduating with a cumulative GPA of 4.0, Natural Science Research Award, Natural Science Academic Award, and Silver Key Award. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a cancer research intern and published a journal article, with the help of co-authors, entitled "Nobiletin Suppresses Cell Viability through AKT Pathways in PC-3 and DU-145 Prostate Cancer Cells." In 2015, she earned her M.S. degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Alderson Broaddus University, graduating with a 3.96 GPA. She was inducted into the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants in recognition of graduating in the top 15% of the graduating class. Prior to joining Carolinas Pain Institute in 2017, she worked in orthopedics for 2 years.
