Dr. Jennifer L. Roux is the newest addition to the Carolinas Pain Institute. She joined the group in August 2008, after completing her fellowship in pain medicine through the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
Dr. Roux completed her undergraduate training at the University of Delaware, graduating cum laude with a B.A. in biological sciences. She then obtained her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. During her residency in anesthesiology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, she was elected chief resident during her final year. She is board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine, and serves as clinical assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at WFUBMC.
Dr. Roux enjoys working with pain medicine fellows and anesthesiology residents, and has a special interest in palliative care and management of cancer pain.
